Vera Emesiobum Doudeyeh

Vera David-Emesiobum is a distinguished professional with over 12 years of experience in the media and social sectors. She is the founder of Project Grey Elderly Care Initiative, Nigeria’s first Food Bank dedicated to the elderly, inspired by her deep connection with her grandmother and a Clare instruction from God. Her organization has distributed over 20,000 meals, provides medical support, advocates for elderly rights, and empowers seniors through skill acquisition and small grants. Vera’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident in her healthy drinks company, which donates a portion of sales to support the elderly through her NGO.

In 2022, she was named Nigeria’s Peace Ambassador and recognized as one of the top 50 inspiring women in Nigeria by the Happy Rural Women Initiative. Her organization received the Nigerian Women Achievers Award in the “Care for the Elderly/Widows” category in 2023, and she was honoured as an “African Woman in Development” by the Donors For Africa Foundation and recently won the Luminary Awards 2024.

Vera’s journey reflects her compassion and dedication to fostering positive change, lighting the way for a more inclusive future.
